About TWD TRIPURA: The Department of Welfare for Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes was established in 24th October, 1970 with the objective of providing socio-economic development as well as overall development of the most under-privileged sections of the society namely, the Scheduled Tribes (STs) & Scheduled Castes (SCs).
In 1982 the Tribal Welfare Department started functioning as a separate Department with the objective of providing a more focused approach towards the integrated socio-economic development of scheduled tribes people. The State Government attaches topmost priority for over all development of scheduled tribes people and also implementing various developmental initiatives in a more systematic manner. Multifaceted new developmental programmes are being implemented in the State to meet up new challenges. Besides, existing schemes are also being reviewed and modified to suit the demand of time.
Directorate of Tribal Welfare Department (TWD), Tripura has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 139 Tutor Vacancy in connection with Special Coaching in Core subject for Govt. run ST Boys & Girls Hostel on purely contractual basis. Honorarium |
Rs.4000/- (Rupees four thousand) only per month per teacher as honorarium shall be engaged for the maximum period of 6 (six) months as per requirement. |

(i) The concerned Sub-Divisional Level Boarding House Committee (SDLBC) headed by nominated Chairman of concerned Sub-Division shall scrutinize the application received and look after entire process of selection for engagement of tutor in vacant post.
(ii) An interview shall be conducted for selection of tutor in a suitable date. This shall be notified to and interview call letter shall be issued by the Member Secretary (SDM) of the concerned SDLBHC
(iii) During the date of interview, there shall be 3-members interview board consisting of the following members
a) The Sub Divisional Welfare Officer (SDWO) of concerned Sub Division.
b) 2 (two) Headmaster/Headmistress/Head of Institution within the SDLBHC (one preferably of the attached school against which tutor is vacant in Hostel and other is against any Govt. hostel within the SDLBHC).
(iv) All 3 members shall mark every applicant on separate sheet as per the following marking scheme:-
Experience in teaching/professional: 25 marks
TET qualified/B. Ed/D. El. Ed: 25 marks
Communication skill: 25 marks
Viva-Voce: 25 marks
(v) Average score of the 3 members shall be calculated and a comparative statement of all the candidates shall be prepared.
(vii) The engagement of tutor shall be done among the highest Scorer of comparative statement. In case the highest scorer withdraws application or do not continue special coaching, the next higher scorer shall automatically be selected for the programme.
(viii) The engagement does not confer any right to regular appointment.
(ix) Continuation of the engagement would depend only on the basis of their performance in duties.
The interested candidates are requested to submit their application as per format along with detailed Advertisement to the Tribal Welfare Section of concerned SDM office addressing to the concerned SDM w.e.f 20/05/2022 to 30/05/2022 (up to 5.30 PM). The applications received after closing date will not be entertained.
