About KVK Tura - Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a district level institution engaged in transfer of latest agricultural technologies to the end users for bridging the gap between the technology developed and technology adoption. It works through partnership mode with allied departments and agencies. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), West Garo Hills was sanctioned by ICAR in the year 1979 vide sanctioned order no. F-22-(1) 79 Edn. Dated 11th April 1979 and started functioning from May, 1980 under the Zonal Project Directorate, Zone-III, ICAR, Umiam and administrative control of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya. Since inception, this KVK has been working for the improvement of livelihood of farming community in the district through scientific intervention in agriculture and allied sector.

Applications are invited to attend "Walk-in-Interview" for the post of Field Assistant (FA) under ICAR-All India Coordinated Research Project on Cashew at ICAR Krishi Vigyan Kendra, West Garo Hills, Tura.  Desirous candidates can check all the job details of no of posts, age limit, salary, qualification, etc prescribed below:

Educational Qualification:-

Bachelors degree in Science/ Agriculture/ Horticulture.

Experience:– Working experience in horticultural produce processing/ biochemistry/ knowledge of computer.

Candidate should also bring an application with full bio-data addressed to the Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam-793103, Meghalaya enclosing photocopies of certificates and mark sheets from HSLC onwards duly attested. A recent passport size photograph should also be affixed on the top of the application.

Candidates are required to bring the relevant certificates, mark sheets, etc. in original for verification.
