Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria for Typist vacancy:

To be suitable for the advertised post of Typist in Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat , candidates should have at least passed HS or P.U. from any recognized Council/Board. He/ She should must have a minimum 6 (Six) months Diploma Certificate in Computer Proficiency/Application from a recognized Institute with proper knowledge of DTP in both English and Assamese language. Intending candidates should have proficiency over both the language.-

Candidates who are willing to apply for the post are advised to submit the completed Application in Standard Form as published in Part-IX of the Assam Gazette. Along with the Application form, candidates should enclose self attested photo copies of all the requisite documents mentioned below:

• Age proof certificate (Birth Certificate/Admit Card of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination)
• 2 (Two) copies of recent passport size colour photographs.
• A self Addressed envelope (size 22x10cm) affixing postal stamp of Rs. 6/- only shall be submitted. At the top of sealed envelope, candidates shall superscribe the name of the post should reach the given address below:

Candidates who are applying through proper channel shall produce an NOC from the Head of the Institution.

Selection Procedure for Typist:

Candidates will be called first for a Computer Practical Test where the candidates shall have to type passage both in Assamese language. The applicant must have a minimum speed limit 30 words per minute and in English language with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute.

Following that, candidates shall be called for an Oral Interview tor final selection.
