Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria for Stenographer vacancy:

To be suitable for the advertised post of Stenographer in Cooperative Society, Assam, applicants must have qualified Degree examination in any discipline from any Govt. recognized University. He/ She should have pursued at least 6 (six) months Diploma/ Certificate in Computer proficiency from a Govt. recognized institution. Candidate must have proper working knowledge of office productivity software tools such as MS Window. Excel. power point. DTP (English or Assamese) and Internet processing etc. Intending candidate shall be a holder of National Trade Certificate in Stenography (English) or vocational training / certificate in Shorthand from a recognized institution.

Applicants who are willing for the vacant post are advised to apply and submit their application online through website (www.niyukti.assam.gov.in) and will be received with effect from 17.12.2020. Along with the application form, candidates must send the following requisite documents stated below:

• Recent coloured Passport Size Photograph.
• Full Scanned Signature of the candidate.
• Self attested copies of Certificates/ Mark Sheets in support of educational qualification and other essential qualification like Computer Proficiency Certificate, Age Proof Certificate, Caste Certificate etc.
• Candidates belonging from EWS category will have to furnish EWS certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Disability Certificate (in case of PWD) issued by the competent authority.
• Valid Employment Exchange Registration Card/Certificate of the State of Assam.
• Residential certificate (PRC/ Voter ID/ Aadhaar) etc.
• He/She shall submit a Declaration in the Form -A (Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019.

It is to be noted that the last date of submission of application is 31.12.2020.

Selection Procedure of Stenographer:

Candidates having required qualification and applications are found in order will be called for Written Test Examination of the following subjects mentioned below :-

1. General English (75 Marks)
2. General Knowledge (50 Marks)
3. Quantitative Aptitude (25 Marks)
4. Knowledge of Computer (Theory) (50 Marks)
5. Language Skills Assamese/ English (50 Marks) (Following the written test, candidates who are shortlisted candidates shall have to appear in a Computer Proficiency Test)
6. Computer Proficiency (Practical) (50 Marks)
