Qualification: 55% marks at the Master Degrees level (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the concerned subject and must have cleared the NET/SLET/SET. The candidates having a PhD degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph. D. degree) regulations, 2009 are exempted from the requirement of the condition of NET/SLET/SET.

Age: Not be more than 38 (Thirty-eight) years of age on 01-01-2019 (relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/PWD and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates).
