About IIT Patna

Patna Indian Institute of Technology Patna (abbreviated IIT Patna or IITP) is a public technical university located in Patna, India. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. It is one of the new IITs established by an Act of the Indian Parliament on August 6, 2008. The permanent campus of IIT Patna is located at Bihta which is approximately 30 km from Patna and has been fully operational since 2015. IIT Patna's campus is located at Amhara, Bihta, 35 km from Patna at a 501 acres (203 ha) site. The foundation stone of the IIT Patna, Bihta Campus was laid by Kapil Sibal in 2011.IIT Patna started its new session (from July 2015) in its permanent campus located at Bihta. The campus at Bihta was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 July 2015. Earlier, the institute was operating from a temporary 10 acres (4.0 ha) complex in Pataliputra Colony, Patna, in buildings that have been renovated and were previously used by the Naveen Government Polytechnic.

Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria for JRF and SRF Vacancy:

As per IIT Patna official notification candidate should have completed BE/ B. Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, M. Sc in Chemistry from any of the recognized board or University.

Junior Research Fellow: The candidate should have M.Sc in Chemistry degree with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks. The upper age limit for applying for the JRF position shall be 28 years. Relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/women/PD will be given as per the GoI rules. Working/research experience in the field of organic synthesis will be given preference

Senior Research Fellow: Candidates Should Have Working/research experience in the field of Machine learning/ Deep Learning/ NLP will be given preference
