About Prasar Bharati

Prasar Bharati is the Public Service Broadcaster of the country. It is a statutory autonomous body established under the Prasar Bharati Act and came into existence on 23.11.1997. The largest of its kind, Prasar Bharati comprises of All India Radio and Doordarshan Television Network, which were previously media units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Digitization of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (DD) is continuing apace, with some of Doordarshan Kendras and AIR Stations having already been digitized. All new establishments are digital and there are plans to modify the existing ones. New transmitters are being ordered and plans for the purchase of digital transmitters are being implemented in phases.

Educational Qualification

As per Prasar Bharati official notification candidate should have completed Degree, Post Graduation Diploma/ Degree from any of the recognized board or University.

Experience Details

Candidates Should Have 3 years' experience in journalism preferably in Audio-Visual Medium Proficiency in Tamil and English. Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University/lnstitute; AND 5 years' experience
