Lesser Devil

Assam has always been in the receiving end as far as infiltration from Bangladesh is concerned. The exodus of a particular religious community from Bangladesh to India over the decades has led to demographic change in 12 to 15 districts of Assam. All this was happening under the patronage of a 'secular 'party named Congress. The vote bank of the party swelled due to infiltration while senior leaders like Tarun Gogoi, Rakibul Hussain etc were happy. Even our former Chief Minister Prafulla Mahanta remained silent as if he was in support of infiltration on 'humanitarian grounds'. But now all the aforesaid leaders, more particularly Tarun Gogoi and Prafulla Mahanta, seem to be strange bedfellows.

According to a survey conducted by a reliable firm, it was found that about 80 to 90 per cent of the criminal activities taking place in Assam are the handiwork of a particular religious community which has migrated to Assam over the years. In fact, the Hindu Bangladeshis' involvement in criminal activities is found to be almost negligible. It can be concluded that Muslim infiltrators from far more dangerous. The crime index in few districts like Barpeta, Goalpara, Hailakandi, Dhubri, Morigaon etc gives us the real picture and also the intentions of that particular people.

Rahul Daydreaming

The prime ministerial candidate of the Congress for the 2019 parliamentary polls, Rahul Gandhi, in an election rally in Bhopal, declared that if his party is voted to power in Madhya Pradesh it will waive off farmers' loan within the first 10 days. It is known to all that the Congress got the chance to govern the nation for six decades but it didn't do any noticeable deeds for the farmers. The six decades of power is more than enough to bring relief to our peasants. Rahul Gandhi and his loyalists are daydreaming and trying to hoodwink the public with some lollipops.
