Why not Bishnu Sangeet?

Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha's birth anniversary was celebrated on 17th June 2018 throughout the state of Assam. Conciding with the anniversary, cultural programmes were arranged by every organishers of the celebration committee where the songs of Bishnu Rabha were sung by the participants as well as by the renowned artists of the state. It was noticed that the celebration committes had mentioned the songs composed by Bishnu Rabha as Rabha Sangeet, in stead of Bishnu Sangeet. It may be mentioned here that the songs composed by famous poets are generally termed by their names, not by their communities, they belonged to. Examples are Rabindra sangeet, Jyoti Sangeet, Bhupendra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti etc. But the exception is for the songs composed by Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha which are termed as Rabha Sangeet, instead of Bishnu Sangeet. Kalaguru Bishnu Rabha hailed from the Rabha community but his songs are not about Rabha community. So, like Rabindra sangeet, Jyoti Sangeet, Bhupendra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti, the songs of Bishnu Rabha should be termrd as Bishnu Sangeet, in steasd of Rabha Sangeet.

Historic summit meet

It is a historic international event that US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met at a summit in Singapore ultimately after long deliberations on12.6.2018.It is going to avert nuclear catastrophe . It was a momentous occasion as far as world politics is concerned. After the summit meet, President Trump thanked the North Korean leader for taking the " bold step" towards a bright new future for his people. Kim pledged to work towards the "complete denuclearisation " in return for security guarantees from the US, as he and Trump wrapped up a historic summit. As for the talks being productive, only time will show which way the wind blows. The Indian Government has also welcomed the move. It is laudable.

Aapki Dusri Country

Soccer fever has gripped the entire nation although India isn't featuring in the coveted championship. The punchline aired by Sony Television 'Aapki Dusri Country' is indeed catchy as it asks the football enthusiasts to support another country of their liking. I would like to know from a few veteran politicians like Mani Shankar Aiyyer, Digvijay Singh, Faroque Abdullah the answer to the same question, i.e ,Aapki Dusri Country. One would be certain that the above breed of politicians would promptly answer Pakistan as their dusri country. Instances galore where the veteran Congressmen have shown their immense love for our arch rival Pakistan in different platforms.
