Alaka Patowary started working in the aviation sector from 2003 to 2010. After that she ventured into the entrepreneurial field and has had brief but meaningful stints in diverse fields that include skilling, social upliftment, agriculture and food processing and women empowerment. The combination of her entrepreneurial exposure and substantial years of work experience has consolidated her acumen and caliber as a professional.

Alaka Patowary is well-versed in business development, strategic planning and implementation, human capital management, marketing and PR, project management and consultancy, event management and crisis and contingency planning. Before one begins to wonder upon her managerial prowess we must tell you that Alaka's unique proposition actually lies in her ability to don many hats with equal élan. In addition to her entrepreneurial flair and a professional body of competencies, she possesses a natural flair for Training and Capability Building and carries the experience of a full time trainer specialising in the field of aviation, personality development and grooming.

Alaka is also very well read and has a slew of academic qualifications to her credit. In addition to being an MBA in HR, she has completed her masters in Economics and is a post graduate diploma holder in Service Industry Management. Her penchant for learning has earned her a B. Ed degree which now guides her mission of being an able administrator of a children's school. This school Margdarshan set up in her native place Hajo has been established and administered as one of her pet projects.

JobHut, which is one of Alka's major entrepreneurial ventures was started in 2017. It envisaged to skill job aspirants by imparting soft skills, communication skills and the requisite professional attitudes. The training is imparted in close collaboration with ASDM, NSDC and IIE.

She started JobHut with another twin objective- empowering the women of our society. In her words, "Today's rapidly evolving world demands more than just good scores. While the natural tendency is to equate education with academic excellence, it is very important to understand that education is not restricted to academics alone. Skill training is very necessary along with education and skills help in harnessing the latent potential of the individual".

This is not all. Nutrigo Natura Agro Tech Private Limited is another initiative of hers. Inspired by Assam's natural goodness, climatic conditions and fertile land the mission of this firm is to become a leading entity in the food processing industry with emphasis on quality and innovation. "Delighting customers through nature's best offerings is the cardinal motto," Alka states and concludes, "Assam provides agricultural raw materials which can be converted to value added products which in turn can be exported for generating income. The soil of Assam is so rich and fertile that we can grow various crops. We can come up with nature's freshest and finest like has been the case with tea."
