

Holi this year is celebrated with full energy after long years of gap due to the global covid pandemic and therefore people choose not to compromise with festive eating and enjoyment.
The festival Holi is the most vibrant and colouful celebration in India loved to celebrate by a large section of people who throws water and colours to each other and offers delicious sweets.
Some of the special Holi sweets and drinks include Puran Poli, Guija and Thandai all of which add more light and energy to the festival.
However, people must keep in mind that excessive binge eating may result in serious complications and the oily deep-fried foods leave post-binge repercussions therefore it is very important to detoxify your body after the Holi celebration.
According to nutritionist Dr. Rohini Patil skin issues like pimples and acne appear to be much more common after the end of the Holi celebration. Other health issues like acidity and bloating also seem to be common so a detoxification diet is a very important post-Holi.
1. Drink a lot of water: Drinking plenty of water is much beneficial in removing the toxins from body organs and in hydration. At least 3 to 4 litre water every day is important to keep the body hydrated which is much needed after eating fried and junk foods.
2. Eat foods easy to digest: You need to take a break from all oily and fried foods after eating them too much during the celebration. Eat food that is rich in protein, provides nutrition and is easily digestible such as salads and soups.
3. Do exercise: Exercise is one of the best ways to treat your physical and mental health as it not just burn the calories amid the festival but also gives positive energy in dealing with the massive celebration. You can do cycling, running and also perform the Surya Namaskar.
4. Avoid Alcohol and Sugar: Alcohol and sugar can be very harmful to your body while detoxifying it after celebrations as sugar increases inflammation and alcohol leads to liver damage.
5. Add Vegetables and Fruits to your diet: To cure the inflammation in your body, antioxidant-rich vegetables and fruits will be much helpful as it cleans the gastrointestinal tract.
