Skyrim Anniversary Special Edition: Release Date, Time, Prices and All You Need to Know

After ten years Skyrim has released its Special Edition on 11 November 2021 with new upgrades and visuals to the creation club. Ten years after Skyrim's first launched the game is back once again for gamers across the world exactly on its ten years anniversary. As the latest edition is already out on Thursday 11 November, the full version of the game with special upgrades is available to purchase now.

The new Anniversary Edition includes the critically acclaimed core game and add-ons of Skyrim Special Edition along with pre-existing and new content from Creation Club including bosses, spells, quests, weapons, dungeons, and many more.

Bethesda, American Video Game Publisher is bundling a lot of stuff together and adding in a sprinkling of new content to the Skyrim Anniversary Special Edition. Bethesda has also scheduled the release date for Starfield next year following the same date.

This time the edition of Skyrim is so special because this edition is providing over 500 pieces of Creation Club content. A true Fishing mechanic is also available with the game which was advertised back in the reveal stream during QuakeCon 2021. Visual upgrades are available the access to which is possible only after owning the Anniversary Edition. By owning any version of the Skyrim game users can get PS5 and Xbox Series X / S for free.

They will be made available on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S for free if you own any version of the game. On its launch, The Skyrim Anniversary Edition will cost $49.99 / €54.99 / £47.99 AUD $79.95/RUB 3399 and on already owning the Skyrim Special Edition, players only need to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition to have access to the staff of creation club which cost $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99 AUD $29.95/RUB 1429.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition is another version of The Elder Scroll V and is based in the same world as the version on Xbox 360 or PS3. The difference comes by adding official Fishing support to Skyrim as part of the Anniversary Edition and providing all the Creation Club content on top. The Skyrim Anniversary Edition rolls together the Skyrim Special Edition with every piece of Creation Club content including additional armour, quests, and various gameplay modes.

It should also be noted that while this Anniversary Edition is only coming to PS4 and Xbox One, a version of Skyrim is launching for PS5 and Xbox Series X in the month of November. Owners of the Anniversary Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will be provided with the next-gen upgrade for the game. Bethesda declared that the upgrade will be free with optimization enhanced graphics and faster loading times.
