Vaastu Tips for Diwali

Diwali is known as the festival of lights. In Hindu mythology, on the day of the Diwali, Lord Rama, his wife Sita Devi and brother Lakshmana returned to their homeland after 14 years in exile after defeating Ravana in Lanka. The villagers lit a victory path for Rama and celebrated with crackers. In South India, it is celebrated as the day when Lord Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura. In Western India, Diwali marks the day that Lord Vishnu, sent the demon King Bali to Naraka or Hell.

During Diwali, Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped. While Lakshmi Puja is done in Eastern India four days after Dussera, Diwali celebration and Puja are done exactly after a fortnight. Kali Puja is done on the same day in Eastern India as it is the night of no moon.
