World Aids Day 2021: Date, Importance, Theme And Posters For The Day

Worlds Aids Day is observed every year on 1 December with the hope of educating people and paying tribute to those who lost their lives after suffering from the deadly disease AIDS. This World Aids Day 2021 falls on Wednesday 1 December.

Through Worlds Aids Day people across the globe pays tribute to those brave hearts to lose the battle against HIV after struggling with the disease. The day is also meant to celebrate the new technologies and treatments adapted to treat the disease.

The day brings together all the social organizations including private and public and also individuals to fight against infectious disease and find solutions for the prevention of AIDS.

AIDS or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome is a disease that often causes death as the person with this disease suffers from a very weak immune system making it useless. Therefore people causing it gets very easily affected by different types of common diseases and these common diseases casing to AIDS often lead to death. AIDS is also called as HIV Human Immunodeficiency Virus.

World AIDS Day was observed for the first time in 1988 and in 1996, the UN Programme on AIDS came into being which empowered other member countries to reform their policies about control and prevention of infectious disease HIV AIDS.

THEME FOR WORLDS AIDS DAY 2021:

The theme of World Aids Day 2021 is 'End Inequalities, End Aids.' The theme brings into focus that as much as the deadly virus affects people, the social stigma attached to the disease also affects to a greater extend. As the global pandemic is increasing inequalities along with disruption to services this situation is making the life of HIV patients more challenging and complicated.
