TEZPUR: Former Ranji Trophy player os Assam and retired Additional Joint Director of Health & Welfare Dr Ananda Chandra Sarma passed away at his Tezpur residence last night. He was 90 years old. He leaves behind his wife Minu Devi, retired Professor of Darrang College, three sons, daughter in law and six grandsons. He was an opener batsman and represented Assam in the Ranji trophy against Orissa during 1955-56 season. He was also a district football player and represented Tezpur Town Club in the Bordoloi Trophy.
