Vedanta Limited Signs the Pact with State Government

GUWAHATI: The agreement of the Petroleum & Exploration License (PEL) of 9 OALP blocks of Assam was signed at the conference hall of the Minister of Mines and Minerals of Assam here on Thursday. Joint Secretary and Director of Geology and Mining GS Panesar and Director-Exploration of Vedanta Limited Prachar Sah signed the deed in the presence of VS Bhaskar, Additional Chief Secretary and Dulal Chandra Das, Secretary of Mines and Minerals Department along with other officials from DGM and Vedanta Ltd, stated a press release.

VS Bhaskar congratulated Vedanta on the occasion and assured that the State Government will provide all possible support to the company in its exploration work of hydrocarbon in the State. Sah said that governance and sustainable development are the core of Vedanta’s strategy with a strong focus on health, safety, and improvement of livelihood of the local community.
