Bicycles as mode of transportation

The current pandemic is the result of years of desecration of nature and mindless destruction of the environment by human beings. Desperate to satiate our unwarranted wants and desires, we have taken the nature for granted, and it has finally fallen flat on our face.

I think the authorities concerned should advocate cycling as a mode of sustainable transportation in small cities and towns. Along with declining air pollution levels, cycling has endless other advantages. Some such advantages are –this very cheap mode of transportation doesn't create any noise and air pollution. Besides minimizing road accidents, bicycles have little parking problems. It increases muscular strength of riders, save oil etc. To make this a reality, dedicated bicycles lanes are a must in city roads.
