Delhi and Kerala have shown the way and effectively implemented their strategies to counter the virus.

Further lockdowns will jeopardise the lives of many as livelihoods are already affected, barring those having government jobs.

Corona will have to be tackled hands on by emphasizing the basics of respiratory hygiene and the common protocols as laid down from time to time or perhaps until herd immunity is reached. Our bodies are designed to fight with viruses and release its own antibodies to fight a disease.

Many thoughts cross an idle mind and people might have to resort to unfair means like robbery etc., for a livelihood during this trying time. There is a saying 'obhabe sobhav nosto korey'. After all, the bread earner of the family will have to feed himself and his dependents. Lockdowns will escalate cases of self harm, family discord, mental cases and insecurity. Strategies based on ground reality are perhaps necessary.

Financial instability is on the rise and the lower and middle class people are the worst sufferers as they are sandwiched between the tug of haves and have nots. We are still trapped in our own homes even after the lockdown has been eased owing to the restrictions. Where are we heading for? Autocracy or democracy or bureaucracy? Can a virus suppress the human instinct of growth or progress? Man will come and go. Economic recession has to be eased out as soon as possible or a massive undercurrent will engulf the society very soon.
