HSLC results

The recently published results of the HSLC examination conducted by SEBA have revealed that more than one lakh students failed in the examination. In other words, 35.2% of the total examinees failed in the last HSLC examination. Certainly, it is a grave concern for all of us. Now, the authorities concerned must identify the reasons that led a great number of students to fail in the last HSLC examination.

Normally, in an education system, teachers and students are actors. Generally, teachers teach the students and the students learn from them. If a teacher teaches properly and a student understands the lessons, taught by the teacher, then the student can easily pass any examination. Without knowledge, no students can pass an examination. The teachers teaching in high schools in Assam must know the proper techniques of teaching the students. Teaching should be such that helps every student in a class to understand the lessons taught. Again all the students in a class are not of equally meritorious. While some are meritorious, some are mediocre. As such, teachers need to adopt different techniques of teaching in order that both the meritorious and the less meritorious students could learn properly. For their parts, students follow the class lectures with seriousness. Further, students should study a number of hours a day. The aim of the study is to learn, and the students should remember it.
