Is Bengal burning ?

During my student days, I came across a very sensitive war movie titled ‘Is Paris Burning’. Now after so many decades, the same story is being recreated in real world in West Bengal. The gory pictures of commul violence in West Bengal where hundreds of innocent people are killed and their houses ransacked paints a terrible picture. The reports coming in from Mamata Banerjee’s Bengal is disturbing. The clashes which happened due to a post uploaded in social media site Facebook is refusing to die down mainly due to biased attitude adopted by the State government towards a particular community. If reports in electronic media are to be believed, the Mamata Banerjee led administration is mishandling the situation which is totally ucceptable. The vote bank policy followed by Mamata Banerjee regime is condemble. Even picturesque Darjeeling is burning. If Bengal is burning like Paris did decades ago, the same fate awaits Didi like the Fuehrer!

Expansion of ministry

More than a year has passed since the Sarbanda Sonowal led government was installed in Assam. But its ministry has not been expanded since then, so that each minister remains burdened with several key departments, which they may not be able to look after thoroughly as they very often have to attend meetings and be on official tours. It is high time, the Chief Minister expanded his ministry, or else developmental works by government departments will remain badly impacted.
