Technology addiction: Teen and young adults

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to convey my concerns about the expanding threat of technology addiction among people. Today, we have become dependent on some of the most useful technology that has ever existed, which helps us to work effectively and efficiently and also saves some time. We do use the internet for any type of information or data that is just a click away. Without any doubt, technology is an advantage to mankind and has a great future ahead, but we should not rely on it every time. Modern lifestyles and people’s increasing dependence on technology have affected people mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually in adverse ways.

Technology addiction has gripped people around the world. Without technology, survival would be very difficult. Technology is beneficial; it releases stress temporarily and provides momentary pleasure. All these temptations often lead people to rely on technology. While technology, with its benefits, also has harmful consequences. However, its addiction impacts a person’s health, brain, and social relationships. We must make wise use of technology and not completely rely on it. We should also believe in simple living and nature.

Concern regarding reckless driving

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw your kind attention to the issue of rash driving in the city and hope for your best efforts to publish the same in your acclaimed newspaper. I am writing this letter to express my deep concern regarding the alarmingly widespread presence of rash driving in our city. It is disheartening to witness the current state of driving. The reckless behaviour exhibited by drivers of vehicles and two tired motorcycles has reached an unacceptable level. The excessive speeds at which these vehicles are operated pose a serious threat to the safety and well-being of our community. Of particular concern is the situation in the college area, which is predominantly inhabited by students.

It is imperative that individuals, especially within this vicinity, recognize the gravity of their responsibility when handling their cars or motorcycles. Unfortunately, it appears that many people disregard basic traffic rules and regulations, endangering themselves and others in the process. The student area is often crowded with vehicles, which are driven in a rampant manner. The pedestrians in the area live in constant fear of being struck by a vehicle while simply trying to cross the road. The consequences of this reckless driving have resulted in numerous accidents, both major and minor, involving innocent citizens. Moreover, the prevailing sense of fear and apprehension among pedestrians has detrimentally affected the overall quality of life in our city. It is essential that stringent measures are put in place to discourage careless driving and ensure the safety of all residents. This could include the implementation of increased traffic surveillance, the establishment of traffic-calming measures such as speed bumps or reduced speed limits, and enhanced education and awareness campaigns regarding responsible driving practices.

It is vital that we prioritize the safety and well-being of our citizens by addressing the issue of reckless driving in our city. Therefore, I kindly request that you take the necessary action to publish this critical issue and bring it to the attention of the concerned authorities. By working together, we can create a safer environment for all residents and restore the confidence and peace of mind that should accompany our daily commutes. I appeal to you to consider these recommendations and take steps to publish the concerns raised. Through this attempt, I look forward to witnessing positive changes and the progress of our city.
