Letters to the Editor: A royal combination

In our student days, we were taught that Royal Combination means a combination of subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Generally, that particular combination was attracted by the bright students. But now in the political circle of the nation, many such royal combinations have emerged among our political parties. They are as Modi-Shah-Yogi of BJP, Sonia-Rahul- Priyanka of Congress, Kejriwal- Sisodia of AAP, Lalu-Tejasvi of RLD, and Mulayam-Akhilesh of SP, to name a few. The latest entry into this elite group is Partha and Arpita combo (both belonging to the crusader against corruption (Mamata Banerjee's camp), whose joint assets are worth Rs 103 crore, according to ED's latest assessment. It is no doubt yet another record-breaking achievement on the part of TMC which is heading the West Bengal government for two consecutive terms to the utter delight of TMC supporters across the nation.

Our ex-APCC chief Ripun Bora, who recently switched over to TMC, must be grinning for joining the right party at the right moment. I wish him success.
