Carry on the eviction

Perhaps the best decision taken by the BJP-led government is the clearing of illegal occupation of government land by the folks of doubtful nationality. We may differ on many issues with the government, but people of anti-BJP ideology should also come out in support of the ongoing eviction drive. The chief minister has hit the bee’s nest, as touching anyone from the religious linguistic minority community sees the wrath of many political parties, social groups, and so-called intellectuals residing in our state. The whole state would have been burnt by the radical Islamist forces in support with the likes of Dr. Hiren Gohain, Gaurav Gogoi, Akhil Gogoi, Rakibul Hussain, etc., but it is only because of the strong stance undertaken by the Chief Minister that this pro-Miya gang is silent on the ground (of course they are very much active with their agendas on the social media accounts). The current eviction drive has exposed the nefarious designs of annexation of Assam by the people of East Pakistan and Bangladesh origin.

We all knew the condition of lower Assam and also central Assam, where people of suspected nationality have spun a web around the indigenous people with the target of outnumbering them. What came as a shock was that the threat (suspected Bangladeshis) has reached places like Margherita, Jonai, Golaghat, Dhemaji, and Jorhat, and they have started occupying government, xatra, and forest land. If we had left them to carry out their silent invasion for another 10 years, our dear Assam would have been converted to an Islamic Republic or would have merged with Bangladesh. If this time our indigenous people don’t understand the deadly plans of the Miyas, then they will never ever understand in the future. I salute our dashing CM, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, fondly called ‘Mama,’ for his bold move. This drive has to continue till each inch of soil is restored back from the clutches of the devils.

Dramatic draw

It was really a great escape for India in the Manchester Test, at a time when Team India's defeat was sure and certain after losing two valuable wickets without any score. But Rahul, Gill, Jadeja, and Sundar showed excellence through their magnificent innings. Especially the epic unbeaten centuries of Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar helped Team India achieve a dramatic draw in the Manchester Test.
