Letters to the Editor: Cultural Marxism

Every year with the start of Navratri, the left ecosystem gets into their usual business of presenting Hindu festivals in derogatory manners and try to make the followers ashamed of their culture and traditions. During Navratri, the leftists become women rights activists, during Diwali, they become environmentalists and then sleep the whole year. Starting with Navratri, the leftist cadres upload pictures of Maa Durga with wounds and injuries on her face with a sad expression, and they talk about domestic violence and rape and term the followers of Maa Durga hypocrites. During the rest of the year, they are least concerned about women's plight.

The liberals again get their ecosystem of cultural Marxism going during the Dussehra. Leftists glorify Ravan by saying that he did not do anything wrong with Sita during her forceful confinement in Lanka. But they hide the fact that Ravan had the curse of Nal Kuber on his head because Ravan raped his fiancée. Nal Kuber had cursed Ravan to burn to ashes the moment he will force himself sexually on a woman against her wishes.

On Diwali, the leftist propaganda gangs will come up with the excuse that oil used to lit up diyas during Diwali could have helped a poor person to lit up diya in his/her home and also helped to cook his/her food.

Finally, on Holi, they will spread the lie that Holika was a Dalit Woman. The fact is that Holika was neither a Dalit nor a tribal. She was a Brahmin and had misused her power and was burnt due to that reason.

Assam cricket

For quite some time there have been reports about the development of cricket with the formation of the new body of Assam Cricket Association under Debjit Lon Saikia, who also happened to be an ex-cricketer at the state level. The state's infrastructures have been upgraded and the Association is trying its best to popularize the game in remote areas of the state which is no doubt encouraging as the ACA is the cash richest sports body of the state. But unfortunately, the level of Assam cricket is not showing the desired result as compared to other small states like Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh etc., at the national level. The ACA is cash-rich and with glamour as well as the most sought-after sports body of the state has of late once again is attracting some self-seekers with a doubtful cricketing background that has made some sensible ex-cricketers of the state disassociate themselves from the ACA. It is an ominous signal for state cricket. The pathetic performance of the state team in the ongoing VINOO MANKAD trophy is a pointer in this direction.

We the cricket lovers of the state will be impressed with the performances on the field, not otherwise.

GU negligence

On 07 October 2021, there was an exam of writing for media paper of BA 4th semester. The exam was from 1 am to 4 pm, as this exam was held on online mode. According to GU guidelines, the question paper is supposed to be available on the exam website before half an hour of the exam time which is 12:30. But on that day we students wait from 12.30 pm till 2 pm but the paper was not available. The same happened with the students of other colleges. We call the helpline number of Gauhati University but we got a rude response from them. What are they doing? First, they end a semester in 15 days and then held exams without giving any time to prepare. Now they aren't even adding paper on exam day. Are they playing with the students' life? Shouldn't they be held more responsible for all these things, because their negligence can affect students' life? Students got panicked because of their irresponsible behaviour. Their actions are affecting students mentally. They should be more responsible towards their duties and shouldn't take students life and education for granted.

Supreme Court: A cautious approach

Keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter Supreme Court had adopted a cautious approach while dealing with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. No doubt the court had reprimanded the government and raised many queries for which the government has not submitted satisfactory replies. The next date of hearing is October 20. It is expected that the government will plug the loopholes being pointed out by the Supreme Court. Every citizen must maintain peace during such an environment otherwise it can harm the communal harmony that has been maintained after many efforts by all.

We should inculcate confidence among the various communities so that they do not feel unsafe. We cannot ignore the happenings in Srinagar and cannot treat it as an isolated incident as the foreign forces are busy destabilizing the country and we have to remain vigilant. In the recent past, a racket had come to the surface where forceful conversions are going on in UP. Can such types of activities whether it is forceful conversions or killing of innocent citizens of a particular community or targeted violence by a few self-interested persons be allowed in a mature democratic country? The answer to these questions is 'not at all. And we have to remain vigilant and such elements are too exposed. If we do not remain alert from these forces there can be great harm to the country. The need of the hour is to remain united at this time otherwise these ugly forces can harm the social fabric of the country.
