Eliminate terror hubs

The sudden cowardly attack of Islamic terror outfit Hamas, which is based in Palestine, over Israel is another proof that no country can survive peacefully when these kinds of breeds are active on earth. The government of Israel has retaliated with an iron fist and has vowed to eliminate the Hamas from the earth, which is much needed. The powerful nations of the world, like the US, UK, India, and France, have extended unconditional support to Israel in the war against the fundamentalist Islamic terrorist group. Countries like Pakistan, Iran, Lebanon, Turkey, Palestine, and Bangladesh are some of the countries that are hotbeds of terror groups. I urge the Government of India to extend any kind of support, be it humanitarian aid or military assistance, to the Jewish nation of Israel, which has always stood by Bharat in times of crisis. In the meantime, we have also seen that certain groups in India are openly supporting Hamas due to their religious similarity. The students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) have openly come out with candlelight marches in support of Hamas terrorists. Religion, caste, and creed should always come second; the nation’s interest should be above all.

Disturbance during news telecast

It is good that the number of viewers for DD News, broadcast at 6.15 PM by the DD News channel, Guwahati, has increased due to its gradually improved standard. We have been regular viewers of DD news for the past few years. Most people prefer DD news rather than other private news channels to keep away from tedious day-to-day news relating to political ‘hungama’, religious matters, rape, crime, murder, etc. However, we want to highlight two unwanted items incorporated into DD news during the news telecast by the channel.

It has been noticed that news items "Kariya Jagat" and "Biswa Dorpan," relating to sports and world news, respectively, are accompanied by a high-pitched sound at the beginning of these two news items. The viewers of the news channel get disturbed by the musical display during the time of news.

This also breaks the symmetry of the news provided by the channel. We request that the authority concerned consider the matter for the benefit of the viewers.

The future of work: A dramatic look

The world of work is changing rapidly, and the stakes are quite high. Will we be able to design a future of work that is inclusive, sustainable, and satisfying for everyone? Or will we be left behind by technology, globalization, and demographic shifts? One of the biggest trends shaping the future of work is automation. Automation is already having a significant impact on many industries, and it is expected to displace millions of jobs in the coming years. Will robots steal all our jobs? What will happen to workers who are displaced by automation? What will the gig economy look like in the future? How can we ensure that globalization benefits everyone, not just the affluent and eloquent?

These are just a few of the many dramatic questions that we need to be asking ourselves as we think about the future of work. The answers to these questions will have a keen impact on our lives, our societies, and our planet.

We need to have a national conversation about the future of work. We need to bring together workers, businesses, governments, and other stakeholders to develop a vision for a future of work that is inclusive, sustainable, and fulfilling for everyone. The future of work is not inevitable. It is up to us to create the future that we want.

Great job

Of late, the Middle East in particular has become the epicentre of global Islamic terrorism. All dreaded terror outfits, namely Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, etc., to name a few, are given asylum by countries like Palestine, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, along with Afghanistan and Pakistan. India and Israel, in particular, are two of the nations that have to bear the brunt of terrorist attacks very often.

The takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban establishment and the recent barbaric attack by the Hamas group on Israel, where it killed thousands of innocent civilians, have a deep impact on India too, as both Afghanistan and Israel have a good number of Indians. To evacuate our brothers and sisters from these two war-torn countries was no doubt a very hazardous job, which the government of India did wonderfully, thanks mainly to our Foreign Ministry’s immaculate planning, which deserves kudos from all, including their baiters.
