Job reservations for women

After the 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies effected by the Nari Shakti Vandhan Act, it is now justified to raise the demand for the creation of reserved posts for women in the various posts filled through recruitment examinations conducted for the engineering and medical institutions and in those conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and the Staff Selection Committee. The number of women in service and in the judiciary is still negligible. Reservations for women are necessary in these jobs as well. The central government is requested to think seriously about this matter.
