Our goods are our identity
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I wish to express my deep appreciation for our indigenous goods. The word 'indigenous' itself embodies a bond of friendship, love, and an enduring connection with our homeland. Therefore, it's the responsibility of us to preserve the beauty of these indigenous goods. They capture the essence of every art of our land. A profound sense of pride arises when people across the world admire and cherish the crafts of our nation, often taking them home as souvenirs. They're a reflection of our culture, traditions, and the rich history of the past. However, in the present context, the term indigenous is no longer confined to tangible products alone. It's beyond the goods that are produced. In a broader context, indigenous refers to the use of all products that originate in our country. They include music, brands, perfumes, handicrafts, paintings, etc. Initially, there is also the addition of fruits and vegetables cultivated in our land. Similarly, a language also carries the fragrance of our origin. While modernisation is inevitable, history retains its deepest and most enduring essence. It's, therefore, the duty of the netizens to keep this essence for eternity. In the world of modernity, there should always be an echo of our tradition. Let's celebrate this upcoming Independence Day as the joy of our identity, the indigenous essence.
