No more fooling, please!

Lying low for months, the anti-CAA agitators have started to raise their ugly head. The anti-CAB in the initial stage and later on anti-CAA started its journey in the later part of 2019 and attaining the peak in the month of December. By February, the movement lost steam on the ground as people realized the forces/ the sponsors/ the brain behind the movement. Startling facts were exposed by both print and electronic media where involvement of the foreign hands was well established. These groups of protesters were nowhere to be seen when the COVID pandemic started affecting the people. Lockdown were imposed by the government to contain the spread of the virus but it severely affected the people economically. Even during the flood scenario, barring a miniscule few the majority of the self seeker group turned a blind eye to those affected. For them, it is entirely the responsibility of the government. At that moment many expected or thought these people who raised slogans during the anti-CAA agitations would come forward and stand with the people. But the picture was completely different as these people went into hibernation.

Now that election season in the State is approaching these groups of people are trying to make their presence felt among the masses. The people are already devastated by COVID and flood and cannot take the further burden of Assam bandhs, curfew and rhetoric of these self-seeking groups. It is reported in various news platforms that external or foreign agencies are ready with funds to again reignite the fire of anti-CAA agitations. Many celebrities are roped in so that they can add more fire to their punch. It is alleged that Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone was paid a staggering amount of Rs. 5 crore to attend infamous Shaheen Bagh protests in Delhi.
