Noise Pollution

Noise Pollution
Published on

Noise pollution is a major nuisance not just in cities but also for people living in small towns. Insensitive use of loudspeaker is a major reason for this pollution but the most annoying thing is that loudspeakers have now become an integral part of all functions. People seem to believe that occasions like marriages, birthday parties and cultural nites are incomplete without the blaring of loudspeakers and DJs. Religious programmes too are aired over the neighborhood for all to hear. The semester exam is approaching and in my locality ‘Akhand Bhagwat’ has started with its as usual high volume. We respect the religious sentiments of people but there should be some thought about the society and environment too. The administration should take suitable action so that everyone can go about their work peacefully.
