Telangana and industrialization

It was announced by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal to run about 110 pairs private trains in the country. For the private trains state-of the -art coaches will be required. Keeping this in view the foundation stone of a private coach factory was laid by the Telangana's Industries' Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) on August 13, 2020 at Kondakal near Hyderabad. The Medha Group will invest Rs. 1,000 crore for the India's would-be largest private coach factory, which will have a capacity to produce 500 coaches and 50 locomotives per year. KTR said that the plant with employment potential of about 2,200 will give a big push to the manufacturing sector.

The industry and IT departments which are looked after by KT Rama Rao in Telangana is progressing at a very fast rate as can be seen. Bangalore which was earlier the IT hub of the country is slowly losing its sheen as the major IT companies are slowly shifting to Hyderabad. The IT Minister of Telangana himself takes lots of interest for the development of his State. The minister's farsightedness can be seen from the fact that on August 4, 2020 he was anchoring himself a meeting -THE VACCINE RACE: BALANCING SCIENCE AND URGENCY. Where Soumya Swaminathan Chief Scientist at WHO, Dr. Krishna Ella CMD, Bharat Biotech IL, Ms Mahima Datla, MD Biological E Ltd and Dr. K Anand Kumar, MD of Indian Immunological Ltd were the guest. It is to be mentioned here that all the three pharmaceutical manufacturing units are engaged in development of COVID vaccine in the country. The Hon'ble Minister discussed freely with them about difficulties being faced by them from the government side and help that can be extended to them for developing the COVID vaccine. The minister himself assured to help them in solving their problem from his side. The entrepreneur gets motivated in such positive action from the Government, and that is the reason why the State is being able to attract IT giants, industrialists to come to Telangana - once India's one of the backward States. It looks like that KTR is waiting to catch hold of every opportunity that may come for the welfare of the State. Our request to the Assam government through your esteemed daily is to look for such opportunities in the future.
