Actor Arjun Kapoor remembered his mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, on her death anniversary with a heartfelt note. Arjun shared a throwback picture with his mother and wrote, “You were my smile and I hope wherever you are I make you smile still... it’s been 7 years since you left us and all your son is asking you is come back na, please.” Mona succumbed to cancer in 2012 when Arjun was awaiting the release of his Bollywood debut, Ishaqzaade.

Arjun’s sister Anshula also posted a heartfelt note for Mona. “Time changes nothing. Love you & miss you everyday Ma. 7 years since we’ve felt your hugs, heard you laugh or held your hand. Already feels like an eternity, but gotta keep on keepin’ on, gotta make you proud everyday, gotta keep feeling your love with every heartbeat of our own. #AlwaysAndForever,” she wrote and posted an old photo of two of them.

Speaking of his mother, Arjun had aforementioned earlier, “She (Mom Mona) looked ahead. It’s owing to her that we dealt with it, never lost touch with the family. We could have might be bitter. It’s natural for a single parent to turn protective, however, she allows us to fly. I don’t believe I would have been the person I am without that experience.”

Mona Shourie Kapoor was Boney Kapoor’s first wife; the filmmaker later married Bollywood actress Sridevi. After Sridevi’s death, February last year, Arjun Kapoor and sister Anshula have emerged as supports for Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.

Speaking to the media in October last year, Arjun had aforementioned, “It’s my job to be a good son to my father and therefore the byproduct of that's I’ve managed to find out two more sisters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor; they allow me to call them my sisters and that’s terribly kindly on their half.”
