Jai Bhim is a newly released Tamil movie directed by T.J. Gnanavel and produced by 2D entertainment staring everyone's favorite Suriya. The movie was released on Tuesday 2 November and is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video from 12 AM onwards.

The story in the movie shows a tribal woman and a lawyer fighting a battle in court to reveal the mystery of her lost husband who was taken by the police on false allegations. The woman narrates how her husband was forced to accept the crime by torturing and blackmailing to molest his wife.

The movie begins with some prisoners coming out of the jail and on the other side some of the cops waiting for them. The police asked about the caste of each of them and leave those who are from dominant and higher caste but whoever belongs to the scheduled tribe or scheduled caste are cornered. Those tribal prisoners are picked by police officers suspecting their involvement in many unsolved cases and on complaining they put more charges.

The movie Jai Bhim represents the torture and humiliation faced by the unprivileged in the process of misuse of power by the police itself. It shows the circumstances of bringing justice to those unprivileged and tribal communities. The entire plot revolves around the character of Rajakannu played by Manikandan and Sengani played by Lijomol Jose.

Rajakannu resides happily with his pregnant wife Sengani and daughter Alli in Konamalai near Viluppuram. But their happiness and peaceful life got disrupted suddenly when some police officers came to take away Rajakannu suspecting him in a case of robbery. The poor man has nothing to do with the robbery but he only gets involved as he visited the place on that day to catch a snake. The police picked up his pregnant wife Sengani along with other people from the same tribe including the brother of Rajakannu, Irutappan on not finding Rajakannu at home.

Sengani was horribly tortured when taken to the police station and as the men in Kakhi are powerful others were helpless in front of them. Sengani finally reached out to Chandru played by Suriya who appears as the right lawyer to fight against the prevailing injustice. But it becomes difficult to uncover the reality when the whole system stands against him.

The movie as a whole strongly portrays the caste differences and crimes associated with it. Jai Bhim is based upon a real-life situation that is connected with Justice K Chandru when he was a lawyer. Suriya is always a star performer as his acting brings extra light into the movie. The other cast of the movie includes Prakash Raj, Rajisha Vijayan, Lijomol Jose, Rao Ramesh, and K. Manikandan in supporting roles.
