In 2021, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested in Mumbai by Sameer Wankhede and team in the alleged drug case. After his arrest in October, Aryan spent 25 days in jail until he was granted bail. At that time, various theories were being floated on the arrest made by Sameer, the former Zonal Director of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Now, Wankhede has opened up on the same.
In an interaction, Sameer Wankhede was asked if he felt like he was targeted for arresting superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan. Sameer said that he wasn’t targeted as he has been the most fortunate person as he got a lot of love from people, especially from the middle class who aren’t that fortunate. The former NCB ZD said, “Sometimes I would think that this ordeal is worth it because of all the love I got. They felt that no matter how big someone is, everyone should face the same rules. I don’t have any regrets; I will do the same if given a chance.”
Further in this entertainment news, Sameer Wankhede was asked about his chats with SRK that were leaked online. Several pages of chats went viral on social media in which the superstar is requesting the officer to retract the case against Aryan. So did he leak the chats with Khan? Wankhede responded, “I am not that weak that I will leak things. Whoever did this, I will tell them to try harder.” (Agencies)
