The India’s Got Latent controversy has kept Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina in the spotlight. It all started with Ranveer’s ‘sex with parents’ comment on Samay Raina’s show, which sparked massive backlash on social media. The comedians faced massive criticism, and several FIRs were filed against them. The case is at present being investigated. Recently, comedian Tanmay Bhat was asked about his views on the IGL controversy and his decision of “not taking a stand”.
In a new video shared by Tanmay Bhat on his YouTube channel, the comedian spoke about Ranveer and Samay Raina’s IGL controversy. Rohan Joshi was also a part of this video. Tanmay read a comment by a fan wherein they were asked, “How come these people are not taking a stand for everything that’s happening?” It was Rohan Joshi who responded to the question, saying, “We are literally here doing our job. What more stand do you need?” The video, titled ‘Memes Got Latent’, serves as a roast. Tanmany read one comment that said “Tanmay, would you rather continue doing reaction episodes or bring Ranveer once and end it?” To this, Tanmay reacted by saying that Ranveer isn’t replying to his messages. He said, “Actually just 2 weeks before this whole thing happened I texted Ranveer saying ‘sun naa, aake fitness meme pe react karte hain’. Reply nahi kar raha aaj kal, pata nahi kya chal raha hai ((I texted him two weeks ago. But he’s not responding. Don’t know what’s going on).” Post the controversy, Ranveer Allahbadia immediately uploaded a video seeking apology, but the damage had already been done. As per reports, Ranveer was recently grilled by Maharashtra Cyber Cell officers. In his statement, Ranveer reportedly mentioned that he appeared on India’s Got Latent as Samay Raina is a friend and didn’t accept any payment for the appearance. Samay Raina also addressed the backlash on social media, stating that he had removed all videos related to India’s Got Latent from his channel. (Agencies)
