The world remembers notable scientist and English mathematician Isaac Newton on his 378th birth anniversary that falls today on Tuesday 4 January 2022.

Newton is one of the brilliant mathematicians and physicists well-known across the world for his contribution to mathematics.

Isaac Newton was born on 4 January 1643 in Woolsthorpe Manor House of United Kingdom and took his last breath on 31 March 1727 in Kensington of London, United Kingdom.

It is Sir Isaac Newton who discovered the theory of motion and the law of gravity. To explain the law of universal gravity and motion Newton published his research in the year 1687 titled 'Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy' and this laid the foundation for classical physics.

The genius mathematician is known for so many reasons as apart from being a mathematician and physicist, he is also an astronomer, author, theologian and what not. Newton was the key figure in the philosophical revolution called the Enlightenment.

He was the first-ever scientist to attempt to discover a detailed explanation to the question of why every object with weight, plummets only towards the ground. The genius came with his first reasoning on a force of gravity by watching a fallen apple.

The talented mathematician had completed his schooling at The King's School England from where he was passed out in the year 1660. He then went to Trinity College, Cambridge (1661-1668) for further studies.

Facts About The Father Of Gravity:

• Sir Isaac Newton mentioned the end of the universe in many of his letters and notes which were found at his house after his death. He had even provided the formula of the end of the world suggesting that after 2060 there will be nothing left and if left then the particular year will be the start of destruction.

• Newton was not expected to survive after his birth as his mother said the baby could fit in a quart-sized cup. He was born prematurely at least 11-15 weeks early.

• The story about an apple everyone know says that Newton was sitting under a tree and an apple stuck on his head but actually Newton was looking out through his window when he saw the fruit drop.
