Good news in the offing for millions of blind people. A group of researchers are gearing up for what they claim will be the world's first human clinical trials of a bionic eye.
Researchers at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia have built a bionic eye to bring back vision with the help of a brain implant.
The bionic eye titled 'Gennaris bionic vision system' has been under development for nearly a decade now.
Experts across the globe have been working to cure blindness with various bionic solutions but so far no one has been able to come up with a solution.
