Indian Couple falls 800 Feet down to Embrace Death while Holidaying in California

In a rather shocking and saddening news, an Indian couple fells down to death from a height of 800 feet in California’s Yosemite National Park. The couple was standing at a Taft Point in the park and are identified as Vishnu Viswanath, 29, and Meenakshi Moorthy, 30, a married couple from India.

Vishnu and Meenaksi were living in the United States, the San Francisco and used to run a travelling blog called 'Holidays and HappilyEverAfters'. Travelling and exploring new things were more like a passion and pr4ofession for them who never thought would lose their life while chasing their passion for adventure.

As reported by the police, the couple had recently moved from New York after Viswanath took a job as a systems engineer at Cisco, in San Jose. Their deceased bodies are recovered on the steep terrain on Thursday below the Taft Point. Notably, the Taft Point is a popular tourist spot offering spectacular views of the Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Falls, and El Capitan. This spot is pretty famous among tourists for clicking selfies and family pictures with the scenic beauty in the background.

Park spokesman Jamie Richards says, "We still do not know what caused them to fall. We’re trying to understand what happened. We may never know, (but) from everything we see, this was a tragic fall."

Investigations are underway looking for a reason of the death of the couple. It has not been clear yet as to how and why did the couple fall and all that could be summed up is that the fall is an accidental tragic fall.

As reported by the National Park Service, the recovery work conducted by the Park Rangers involved using technical climbing and rappelling techniques along with providing helicopter support from the California Highway Patrol for a short-haul operation.

The couple had been married since 2014 and both were software engineers. The sudden demise of the techie couple came as a great shock for their friends and family who never thought that their life would meet such a tragic end. The pictures of the duo posted in the social media seem to have indicated that both of them like clicking pictures in a scenic location. For an instance, their picture together smiling on the edge of a cliff at the Grand Canyon can be cited.

The College where the duo earned their technical education said, "Our hearts go to the friends and family members of this lovely couple. May their souls rest in peace.”
