MEXICO: As the world is gearing up for the historic Ram Mandir consecration ceremony or the Pran Pratishtha on January 22 at the holy city of Ayodhya, its impact has transcended national borders and has spread beyond.
The North American country of Mexico got its first-ever temple dedicated to Lord Ram in the Mexican city of Queretaro on Sunday, 21 January. This historic feat comes just a day ahead of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony or the Pran Pratishtha in the holy city of Ayodhya on January 22.
It is interesting to note that the consecration ceremony of the deity was performed by an American priest in the presence of Mexican hosts. As the proceedings took place, the Indian diaspora were chanting songs and hymns to mark this momentous occasion. Later, the temple was inaugurated and opened for devotees.
Astonishingly, the idols consecrated in the newly built temple were brought from India.
The Indian embassy in Mexico took to social media platform ‘X’ to break the news. The city of Queretaro in Mexico gets the first Lord Ram Temple on the eve of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at Ayodhya and Queretaro also hosts the first lord Hanuman temple in Mexico, the tweet said.
An American priest carried out the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in the presence of Mexican hosts and the idols were brought from India, the Indian embassy added while sharing the images of the temple and the ceremony.
The Embassy further went on to describe it as an event where the atmosphere was filled with divine energy as the hymns and songs sung by the Indian diaspora reverberated throughout the hall.
Meanwhile, the much-awaited Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram in the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi Temple was performed in Ayodhya in presence of several dignitaries, the likes of which include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, among others.
