Turkey orders arrest of senior Saudi officials in Jamal Khashoggi Murder case

Istanbul: The office of Istanbul’s prosecutor on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant for two Saudi officials for their alleged links to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the kingdom’s consulate in Turkey. The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) reported that the two officials were Saud al-Qahtani and General Ahmed al-Asiri who are said to be close to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The arrest warrant said these two senior officials were among those responsible for planning the murder, according to TRT. (IANS)
