Guwahati: The Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the LoC in Jammu & Kashmir's Rajouri district on Tuesday night, officials said.

Two Pakistani intruders were killed and another was injured after the Indian Army intercepted movement of a group of infiltrators near the LoC in Nowshera Sector.

Officials informed that there was a brief exchange of fire and a subsequent blast took place, probably after an intruder stepped on a landmine.

The bodies of the slain infiltrators have not been recovered and it is possible that they were taken across the border by the infiltrators, who were pushed back from the spot.

"The entire area along the LoC has been cordoned off and searches are going on", an army official informed.

It needs mention here that the Army foiled a similar infiltration bid on June 1 and killed three heavily armed terrorists in the same area.
