22 cattle seized

SHILLONG, May 9: The troops of BSF BOP Lyngkhat and Tuka deployed in East Khasi Hills District, on a tip off, once again seized 22 cattle from the border area. The special Ambush party of BSF laid a trap while some smugglers along with their cattle’s were proceeding towards Bangladesh for smuggling through a thickly wooded area. After a thorough search the cattle’s were seized from the Indo-Bangladesh border. However, the cattle carriers maged to flee taking advantage of darkness and thick foliage.
