Mangaluru: A 24-year-old accountant from a Dakshina Kannada Village in Karnataka had a dream the night ahead of the draw in an Abu Dhabi big-ticket lottery: He'd landed the jackpot. Interestingly, the organizers called him at work the next day to inform him he'd won around 12 million UAE dirhams (about Rs 23 crore).

The bookkeeper identified as Mohammed Fayaz JA, from Jattipala in Sullia, always hoped to work in Dubai, but has never visited the Gulf earlier.

Speaking to the media, Mohammed Fayaz JA said, "Though I got a passport, things didn't go as planned, and I took a job as an accountant in Mumbai a year ago."

As per reports, Mohammed Fayaz tried his luck six times, buying Gulf lottery tickets online. This time, he had the feeling that he would win to cover the ticket price Rs 9600.

Fayaz also has no intention to quit his current job and further said that he doesn't know what to do with the life-changing Rs 23 crore. Notably, Fayaz is a commerce graduate.
