5 things to know about PUBG mobile's revised policy for Indian users

As per reports, the government of India is screening 275 more Chinese backed apps including PUBG Mobile

Guwahati: Following the ban of 59 Chinese apps across India, PUBG enthusiasts or players must finally be relieved to find that the battle royale app is not among the banned apps.

PUBG mobile has reportedly taken an initiative to change its privacy policy for India in the wake of the massive app ban undertaken by the Indian Government.

As per reports, the government of India is screening 275 more Chinese backed apps, including PUBG mobile  

The Ministry of Home Affairs has already banned over 106 Chinese apps to date and has made a list of around 275 China-based apps that are "suspect."

PUBG's new policies have come soon after several reports indicated that the game is in the list of 275 apps rounded up for scrutiny. 

Here are the 5 things that you should know:

1. PUBG states the data obtained from Indian users is under the radar of the Indian Government. "Our servers are located in India (in the case of users located in India only), Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, and the United States."

2. The popular royale battle asserted that its support, engineering, and other teams located in offices across the globe have access to the information of its users in some countries, but in the case of Indian players, it is located in India only.

3. PUBG noted in its privacy policy that it automatically collects data from its users when they are playing the game which includes open ID, IP address, device information (such as application version, battery level, WiFi strength, available space, network type, OS version, platform, carrier, country code, series ID, Android ID, MAC, and IDFV), registration time, login time, and information regarding user's use of the Game Services, such as the date and time stamps of actions.

4. PUBG further added, "Where we permit any third parties to collect and use your Personal Information, we shall take reasonable measures to ensure that the third parties do not further disclose the Personal Information."

5. PUBG in its revised policy states that the data content is stored between 7 to 30 days until after account deletion.  If the user does not opt for account deletion but lets the account stay dormant, the company will automatically delete all collected data after a year.
