60-year-old Kude Ram dreamt of chopper for 40 years, finally rides one on retirement day

60-year-old Kude Ram has set an astounding example of retiring with a bang as the man, who always dreamt of travelling in a helicopter, had returned home from his workplace on the last day of his work on a helicopter. This was a lifelong dream of the person, who retired from his work in a government school in Neemka, Faridabad, to ride a helicopter one day and finally his dream had come true.

Living in Sadpura village which is hardly 23 kilometres from the government school where he works, the man had a dream since 40 years that he would one day like to ride on a helicopter and used to tell his family about it. However, his dream was not seriously taken by anybody except for a younger brother of him. His younger brother also happens to be the village sarpanch and Ram approached his brother to make his retirement day memorable.

Kude Ram said, “I am barely educated and could not make it big in life but I wanted to create history in my area. So, after planning for several years, I arrived at the conclusion that if I plan my retirement in a memorable way, people would always remember my name.”

The last day of his work, however, remained the most memorable day for him when had gone to work on a bicycle, but returned in a helicopter. All thanks to his sarpanch brother who could arrange a chopper for the man and he could fulfill the dreams of flying on the sky in a chopper.

Ram further added that he used to tell his family quite often about seeing a helicopter in his dreams but they had always made fun of his dreams. Not only this, his childhood friends too used to tease him saying his dreams are supercilious enough and it will never be possible for him to fulfill his dream in this lifetime. He also added that once he had asked an astrologer who had said to him that this dream is a symbol of goals and achievements.

Finally, he hires a chopper, takes a 15-minute ride on it to reach his home from the workplace and cherished his lifelong dream with his wife and one of three daughters along with a grandchild who accompanied him in the chopper ride.
