AAP 3.0: Arvind Kejriwal sworn in as Delhi Chief Minister for third time in New Delhi

Guwahati: The AAP senior leader and national convener Arvind Kejriwal sworn in as Delhi chief minister for the third time at Ramlila Maidan this morning.

President Ram Nath Kovind had on Friday appointed him as the new chief minister of Delhi after his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) bagged 62 out of the 70 assembly seats in the recently concluded Delhi polls in which BJP managed only eight and the Congress drew a blank for the second consecutive time.

Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Rajendra Pal Gautam and Imran Hussain also sworn in as ministers of Kejriwal 3.0 Cabinet.

Addressing the gathering at Ramlila Maidan, Kejriwal said, “Elections are over now. No matter who you voted for, you are part of my family. Party affiliations never stopped me from working for anyone”.

Notably, the Delhi election results that were declared on February 11 rewarded the AAP for its development work in the past five years.

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which focused on the Shaheen Bagh protests during the campaigns were able to bag eight seats, whereas Congress failed to occupy its position with no seats at all.
