APDCL, APSCL celebrate foundation day

Dibrugarh, June 2: The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) and Assam Power Supply Corporation Limited (APSCL) on Wednesday celebrated the foundation day. As part of the foundation day ceremony, the officials and employees planted more than 100 tree saplings at the residential area playground and office premises of APDCL and APSCL. The raising day of the public sector organization, Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) which was set up in the year 1958, was iugurated jointly by the Upper Assam, Dibrugarh Zone, General Mager of APDCL, Arundhati Bora and Dibrugarh Power Circle, Chief Executive Officer, Suresh Kumar Gogoi.  Earlier, the ceremony was anchored by the central vice-president of Assam State Power Workers’ Union, Leela Changmai. Later, after planting the saplings, the employees and officials also pledged to contribute towards creating a greener and pollution free environment and called upon the people to be part of the green environment by planting one sapling each day.
