New Delhi: The police in Jammu have recovered a consignment of arms along the International border on Sunday.

According to details the police are suspecting that the arms were dropped by a Pakistani drone.

The consignment included an AK assault rifle, three magazines, 30 rounds, and a telescope.

According to report, a villager had heard the sound of dropping items and informed the police.

Immediately the police rushed to the spot cordoned off the area.

During searching the area police found a yellow packet tied to strings was recovered.

A case has been registered and a search for the intended receivers of the package is on.

There has been an alarming increase in drone activities from Pakistan over the past year, posing a new challenge to the security forces.

Payloads containing large quantities of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), rifles, sticky bombs and narcotics have been recovered at different places by the security forces in the past year.
