NEW DELHI: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the list of bank holidays on its official website: rbi.org.in, there are three bank holidays in the month of June 2021.

However, other than these three holidays, banks in India will also remain closed for six more days (weekly holidays). Therefore, banks will remain shut for a total of nine days in June 2021.

List of Bank Holidays in June 2021

6 June - Sunday (All over India)

12 June - Second Saturday (All over India)

13 June - Sunday (All over India)

15 June - YMA Day / Raja Sankranti (Aizawl, Bhubaneshwar)

20 June - Sunday (All over India)

25 June - Guru Hargobind Ji's Birthday (Jammu and Srinagar)

26 June - Fourth Saturday (All over India)

27 June - Sunday (All over India)

30 June - Remna Ni (Aizawl)

As per the Reserve bank of India, Indian Banks is going to remain closed for about forty days this year i.e. 2021. However, certain holidays will differ in various states and UT, depending on some state-specific occasions.

Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the bank holidays are enlisted by the Central and State Government and the Union Territories. The list of holidays that is announced by the Central government is applicable to public and private sector banks.

Further, India will have three national holidays in 2021 which are on 26th January for Republic day, 15th August for Independence Day, and on 2nd October for Gandhi Jayanti.
