Ahmedabad: Rajasthan Congress leader Sachin Pilot asserted that the party will continue to “work hard” in Gujarat and fight “strongly” in the next Gujarat elections and will “strengthen” the workers.

He also reiterated the party’s commitment to walk on the path of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and said that Congress would conduct mass contact programmes.

After the AICC session, Congress MLA Sachin Pilot told ANI on Wednesday, “... The resolution has been outlined (stating that the party will walk on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s path) and passed by the whole committee to send a message across the country that the Congress will continue to work hard in Gujarat, will fight strongly in the coming elections, and will strengthen the workers... The government here is anti-incumbency... The Congress party will do mass contact programmes and attract voters towards itself, and Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge’s message today will energise workers all over India.” Earlier on Wednesday, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge appealed to the Congress party workers to stay united and cooperate so that the party can form a government in the next Gujarat elections. “We are with the poor, minorities, backward, untouchables, Dalit. Congress is standing with people belonging to any religion or caste,’’ Kharge said at the AICC session.  (IANS)
