Delhi: The opposition Aam Aadmi Party is now targeting Delhi's ruling BJP after the city became waterlogged due to heavy rain this morning. Top aides to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, including former ministers Manish Sisodia and Atishi, have posted images of streets that are submerged, and people have been complaining that the government isn't doing enough to stop water logging.

One video shows an AAP supporter rowing in the water in an inflatable bathtub, while another shows a man swimming on a road that is flooded. "West Vinod Nagar is where we are. According to our MLA, there is no water logging here. A man backstroking on the submerged road stated, "I'll swim here to show you."
The BJP government's assurances that it has made sure there won't be any water logging this monsoon were questioned by the AAP, which posted the aforementioned video and said the area was fully submerged following the morning rain.

"Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ji, where is your proper planning? You made big claims in the media about tackling waterlogging, but today, entire Delhi is drowning, and you're relaxing in your grand palace. The public is now swimming on the roads and inviting all BJP leaders to join them for a swim," said the AAP.

Atishi, who held the chief minister's post briefly ahead of the February elections, also took a sarcastic jibe at her successor, "Many congratulations to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for starting so many swimming pools in Delhi."
